The discoveries of the Greek mathematician Archimedes nearly 2,000 years ago established laws of physics still viable today. Francis Coppola’s grandfather Agostino so greatly admired the intellect and ingenuity of the mathematician that he gave his first son the same name. With this wine we pay homage to Uncle Archimedes, a man who loved math and mechanics as much as his namesake.

Archimedes delivers flamboyant and immensely concentrated flavors of black cherries, red plums, sandalwood and vanilla, along with velvety smooth tannins. It has been aged for 24 months in sweet French oak.

Archimedes was inspired by the accomplishments of great men. As one of our finest achievements, this wine represents our passionate dedication to the craft of great wine making and honors of a memory of a dear Coppola family member. We hope that when you open this bottle, you too will find your inspiration.
