Limited production wines showcasing the uniqueness of Sonoma County.
Our Reserve Viognier originates from Catie's Corner Vineyard, a Russian River Valley vineyard comprised of sandy clay loam soils. This vineyard experiences diurnal temperature variations that can create a day-to-night temperature difference of as much as 50 degrees. This phenomenon allows the fruit to ripen more slowly and develop an optimal balance, which ultimately creates a more layered, complex wine. As a result, our Viognier strikes a lovely balance between rich, ripe fruit, and crisp natural acidity, which is often hard to achieve in warmer climates.
The 2017 vintage leans more towards tropical fruit tones, fragrant notes of jasmine, and just a trace of limestone minerals. Leading with a beautiful perfume of lychee, apricot, and island flowers, this wine offers juicy, mouth-filling flavors of pineapple, citrus, and melon, all perfectly balanced by vibrant natural acidity.
