Paso Robles is an excellent place to grow Cabernet Sauvignon because it is adapted to warm weather. The heat in Paso Robles lets the skins soften, bringing out the full spectrum of flavors. Long days of full sunshine darken the skins and provide just enough stress to the vines to ensure exceptionally delicious fruit. During this long growing season, we closely monitored the vineyards and picked when fruit flavors, acid, and seed tannin achieved balance. To build complexity, we added a small amount of Syrah. The wine is aged in French Oak with a slightly higher toast level.

The extended growing season of this vintage resulted in a rich, concentrated wine; full-bodied and intense. Aromas of currant, blackberry, and hints of caramel, finish with plum and cherry lingering on the palate.
