At Rustic, the spirit of Francis Ford Coppola’s childhood table lives on – where food, wine and conversation are inseparable. Raised with homemade pastas, hearty sauces and his grandfather’s wine from the cellar, Francis believed meals should nourish both body and story.

Today, Executive Chef Tim Bodell carries that tradition forward with wood-fired classics, global flavors and seasonal Sonoma ingredients—crafted to pair seamlessly with Coppola wines. Executive Chef Tim Bodell

Tim Bodell brings 30 years of food and wine experience to his role as Executive Chef of Delicato Family Wines. His background includes holding numerous positions in world-class operations, from private clubs to restaurants and wineries. His diverse knowledge and expertise have lent themselves to the creation of recipes and signature dishes inspired by the Coppola and Indelicato families. That inspiration is the foundation of the Francis Coppola Winery’s award-winning restaurant, Rustic.  

Chef Bodell was born and raised in the Philadelphia area where he learned his love of cooking from his mother. Both his parents were schoolteachers who nourished and supported his love of cooking. In his teens, Tim landed his first restaurant job and he never looked back, gaining experience and climbing the ranks of restaurants throughout the Philadelphia area. He soon came to the realization that working in this industry was his calling and that he could turn his passion into a successful career.

With three decades of culinary expertise, Chef Tim Bodell brings passion, innovation, and award-winning recipes to Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s Rustic restaurant.

After graduating high school, Tim continued to hone his skills in restaurants throughout the Philadelphia area before deciding to attend Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. He thrived in this environment and graduated Cum Laude. Upon graduating from the University, Tim moved to Oregon to pursue his culinary passions and eventually settled in Northern California to immerse himself in the San Francisco Bay Area food and wine scene.

Chef Bodell has been with the Francis Ford Coppola Winery since 2011. Among his many achievements and honors as Executive Chef, Tim was twice invited to cook at the famed James Beard House in New York City. He has been featured in numerous local and national publications.
