The three alcoves are dedicated to his late wife Eleanor, their daughter Sofia, and their granddaughter Gia.

Directly in front of you is Eleanor, Francis’s late wife and partner. Eleanor’s core medium was textiles. After earning her degree at UCLA in applied design, Eleanor created expansive fabric and collage murals for installation in corporate environments, notably, one of her installations was featured at LAX. She met Francis in Ireland on the set of his 1962 debut film titled, Dementia 13. Eleanor worked in the art department. Their creative collaboration launched a friendship that soon blossomed into romance. They married in February 1963 in Las Vegas…
