The Wines of Francis Coppola Pinot Grigio

The Wines of Francis Coppola Pinot Grigio features aromas of lemon zest, minerality, and stone fruit, with notes of stone fruit, apricot, and peach on the palate. This crisp and refreshing medley creates a balanced and harmoniously flowing wine with a persistent finish.

Russian River Valley’s characteristic cool mornings and warm afternoons allow pinot grigio grapes to develop a perfect balance of acidity and ripeness. This vineyard is very well balanced and has great drainage, resulting in healthy vines and excellent grapes. The fruit was handpicked early in the morning and brought directly to the winery.

2025 got off to an average start as far as timing during the growing season with respect to budbreak, bloom, and veraison. Each growth stage was not drawn out, and we were on track for an expected August to the end of October Harvest. However, as the season went on, we didn’t experience any heat events that would accelerate ripening. With lower degree day accumulation, this led to longer hang time, similar to 2023, with the key difference in 2025 being that we had multiple rain events.
