Flowing with a supple and rich body, aromas of lavender, black currant, and black cherry preface flavors of plum, mocha, and violet on the palate. Round velvety tannins provide structure, and lead to a lingering, persistent finish.

Shone Farm is located between Forestville and Windsor in the Russian River Valley. Nearly every evening, fog settles in around the vines causing temperatures to dip by as much as 40°F. This natural air conditioning promotes an extended growing season. Once the fog dissipates in the morning, sunshine trickles down through the vineyard, which Pinot loves. Winter rains provide sufficient moisture that no further irrigation is needed.

The 2022 vintage started early, with spring bringing welcome rain that filled the soil profile, giving vines the water and nutrients needed to grow. An overall mild summer with warm days and cool nights was ideal for grape maturity. Overall, a lighter crop than average in quantity, but still excellent in quality.
