Experience the 2015 harvest with this hands-on adventure! Begin the day with coffee and a light breakfast overlooking the Alexander Valley. Afterwards, you’ll pick grapes as the morning mist rises over the vineyard and enjoy Brix sampling, test barrel and tank samples, punch down grapes in our open-top fermentors, and sample fermenting juice. Complete your day with a winemaker Q&A session and an exclusive 3-course lunch at our restaurant RUSTIC. Limited to 6 people per date and reservations are required.
Allow your taste buds to tour Sonoma County as you sample wines from different AVAs (American Viticultural Areas). Sit back and relax while we bring the different locations to you. You will examine 4 different soil samples, looking for nuances that make each region specific. Then taste one of our wines from each location to experience how those specifics are reflected in the wine. Reservations are required.
Learn the science behind your sense of taste. Guests will be guided through various tasting exercises that demonstrate how to identify different flavors in food. Then learn how balancing these flavors affects the relationship between food and wine. Want to have your favorite Chardonnay with a juicy steak? We’ll teach you how! This tasting experience lasts approximately 1½- 2 hours, and reservations are required.
Join us for a fascinating wine tasting that explores how flavors and aromas in wine are accentuated by simply turning off the lights. Guests are blindfolded and led to our Winemaker’s Lab for the tasting, which is hosted by Hoby Wedler, a blind graduate student from UC Davis. It's a unique and unforgettable tasting experience perfect for any wine lover. Reservations Required.
Visit the winery and see it the way Francis intended. Your host will take you on a 20 minute guided tour where you will learn about the property, its history, and the inspiration behind it all.
This is complimentary for all winery guests, and those 21 years of age and older will receive a Rosso & Bianco tasting. Sign-ups are available at Guest Services on the day of the tour, on a first come, first serve basis.
Named for the little dance wine bottles do while moving across the bottling line, this tasting will give you a sneak peek at our state-of-the-art bottling facility. We'll begin with an overview of our property, teach you about our various appellation and vineyard practices, and tell you the stories behind each of our wine labels (Teaser: they all carry personal significance to Francis).
