Fall’s best in a glass. Save this recipe for night in with friends:

Ingredients
1 bottle of Claret
3–4 cups of fresh, unfiltered apple cider
1/2 cup brandy, rum, or orange liqueur
2 large apples, chopped 
1 orange, sliced
4 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
1/4 cup brown sugar (optional, to taste)
Splash of club soda, ginger ale, or sparkling cider (optional, for fizz) 
Optional cinnamon sugar for rim

Instructions
In a large pitcher, add the chopped apples, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and brown sugar (if using).
Gently muddle, or press, the fruit with a spoon to release some of its juices and incorporate the brown sugar. Pour in the Claret, apple cider, and liqueur of choice. Stir everything together until combined. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let the mixture infuse for at least 2 hours. For a deeper flavor, chill it overnight. When ready to serve, top with a splash of club soda or ginger ale. Serve over ice in glasses and garnish with a cinnamon stick and cinnamon sugar rim.
